Speeding Defense Lawyers in Lacey Township, New Jersey

Most individuals who drive regularly have at some point been issued a speeding ticket, or know somebody who has received a ticket for speeding. The multitudes of busy highways throughout the New Jersey in addition to the state’s infamous rush hour traffic leads to a relatively heightened occurrence of speeding and other traffic violations. Ocean County officers readily patrol rush hour and beach traffic, writing up a substantial percentage of New Jersey traffic tickets. The punishment for a speeding ticket is determined by the driver’s top speed, in addition to how fast the car was traveling in excess of the speed limit. It is important to understand that an exceedingly high speed can result in a license suspension and even, unbeknownst to many, the possibility of jail time. While most speeding violations are relatively minor, multiple violations will add up on a driving record, leading to serious problems such as license suspension and an increase in your car insurance rates. At the Law Offices of Proetta & Oliver, our lawyers regularly represent clients against motor vehicle violations that include scores of speeding charges. We service clients throughout Ocean County, New Jersey through our office located in Toms River including the towns of Manchester, Ocean Township, Berkeley Township, Lacey, Mantoloking, Island Heights, Barnegat, Point Pleasant Beach, Surf City, and South Toms River. It is understand that in New Jersey, if you obtain 12 points on your license, the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission may administratively suspend it.
