Ocean County Man Arrested for the December Drug Overdose Death of His Customer
According to the Ocean County Signal, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato, the Brick Township Chief of Police and the Point Pleasant Boro Police Chief announced the arrest of a twenty-two year-old defendant on strict liability drug charges in connection with the December 2013 drug induced death of a twenty-five year-old. Citing the 112 Ocean County deaths attributable to drug overdose in 2013, Coronato highlighted the strong emphasis on consequences for drug dealers by county and municipal officials.
The victim’s December death was determined to be a lethal combination and dosage of street and prescription drugs. As a result, the suspect was charged with First degree Drug Induced Death and Second Degree Manslaughter. He is in Ocean County Jail with $200,000 bail. As a probation violator, the 10% bail reduction is not available to him.
